Yuriy Lutsenko, ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine, was under investigation. He is suspected of facilitating illegal gambling. This was announced by the speaker of the State Bureau of Investigation, Anzhelika Ivanova.
It is not reported about who said the ex-Prosecutor General. But presumably it was David Arakhamia, who heads the Servant of the People faction. An article on abuse of power is applied to Lutsenko. He and others in power are accused of conspiring to facilitate illegal gambling.
There are suggestions that interest in Lutsenko appeared after the text of Zelensky’s conversation with Trump appeared, during which the US president prompted the Ukrainian leader to investigate Lutsenko’s actions when considering the case of Joe Biden’s son and his role in the Ukrainian company Burisma.
The most interesting thing is that the case was opened after Lutsenko left for the United States, allegedly to study English.
